Brother to the 54th Dai al-Mutlaq (“Dai”) Syedna Taher Fakhruddin TUS, he is son of the 53rd Dai Syedna Khuzaima Qutbuddin RA, nephew of the 52nd Dai Syedna Mohammed Burhanuddin RA, and grandson of the 51st Dai, Syedna Taher Saifuddin RA.

Syedi Dr Abdeali Bhaisaheb attained the highest levels of ‘ilm from Syedna Burhanuddin RA, Syedna Qutbuddin RA and Syedna Fakhruddin TUS. Syedna Qutbuddin personally trained him for khidmat and spent priceless time imparting the philosophies and knowledge of Dawat. He has been deputed by Syedna Burhanuddin RA, Syedna Qutbuddin RA and Syedna Fakhruddin TUS to give several sermons including sermons during Ashara Mubaraka in various cities all over the world.

● Workshops: Delivered specialized sessions on the contemporary practice of wa‘z within the Dawoodi Bohra community for waezeen workshops at the IIS.
● Graduate Programme Instruction: Conducted specialized lectures on Fatimid Law for postgraduate students.
● Lectured on Fatimid law, literature, history and philosophy to students in the Arabic Academy in Mumbai
Syedi Abdeali Bhaisaheb has for more than 20 years been at the fore of teaching, counselling, public speaking, and project management in the leadership of the Dawoodi Bohra Community. Since a very young age Syedi Abdeali Bhaisaheb has been travelling around India and the world administering to the needs of the community and striving for its temporal and spiritual betterment. He has been particularly
keen in building bridges within the community as well as between the Dawoodi Bohra community and other communities.
Today, through regular sermons, sabaq (religious lessons), and bethaks (personal audiences) community members seek knowledge and guidance under his tutelage. Syedi Mazoon Saheb AAB also conducted a seminar on mental health for the members of the Bunayyat Shabab. Since Syedna Burhanuddin’s wafaat, Syedi Abdeali Bhaisaheb has led the legal team in the Dawat case in the Bombay High Court. He is also a Director of the Qutbi Jubilee Scholarship Program (QJSP), which runs under the auspices of Syedna Fakhruddin Saheb, and is the sponsor of the Taqreeb Conference Series on Communal Harmony.
